Broken but Beautiful

11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me....13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. -1 Corinthians 13:11 and 13

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. -1 Corinthians 13:4-7

40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. -John 6:40

After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you." -John 17:1

28 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? -Matthew 6:28

34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. -Matthew 6:34

12 I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. -Leviticus 26:12

33 Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess. -Deuteronomy 5:33

13 For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life. -Psalm 56:13
**How fitting this verse is as Abby is the one walking in the picture.  She was delivered from her pain and suffering and is walking in God's light of life!

8 I am a foreigner to my own family, a stranger to my own mother’s children;  -Psalm 69:8
**This is how I felt during my feelings of suicide and depression; BUT...

35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. -John 8:35
**This verse shows how strong the ties between a son and his family are.  You may have heard the saying "Friends may come and go, but family is always there."  In my life, it's been true.  My family stuck with me even when my friends betrayed me.  But even greater than that, as God's daughter, I belong to HIM forever, and He has definitely proved to be the Father I always needed.  And He will always be there for you too.

3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. -1 Peter 3:3-4

11 Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. -Psalm 45:11

14 Your fame soon spread throughout the world because of your beauty. I dressed you in my splendor and perfected your beauty, says the Sovereign Lord. -Ezekiel 16:14
